Website Privacy and Feedback

This notice covers the feedback and reaction features on Agnostic.dk. It does not describe data handling by the future ADK framework or by game servers that may eventually use ADK.

Who is responsible

Peter Fibaek operates Agnostic.dk and is responsible for the information described here.

To ask a privacy question or exercise a data-protection right, use the Feedback button on any page, choose Whole page, and use the subject Privacy request. Include an email address if you want a direct reply. If the request concerns an earlier submission, identifying the page and approximate submission time will help locate it.

What the website collects

When you react to a page or an individual idea, the website receives the page or section, the published content revision, your chosen reaction, and a random browser identifier. The identifier itself is kept in your browser. The server stores a keyed one-way code derived from it so the same browser can maintain only one active reaction for the same item.

The application also derives a keyed code from only part of the network address used for the request. In ordinary language, nearby addresses are deliberately grouped together and then converted into a one-way value that is useful for abuse control but cannot simply be read back into the original address. This is pseudonymisation, not a promise that the information is anonymous. Ordinary security logs may also be produced by the website host.

Private feedback contains the page, optional page section and subject, the message, and an optional reply email address. The application also stores one-way browser, coarse-network, and browser-software codes to limit duplicates and abuse. Please do not include passwords, account keys, sensitive personal information, or information about another person unless it is genuinely necessary.

Why it is used

The information is used to:

• show public totals for useful and not-useful reactions;
• receive and understand private feedback in its page context;
• reply when an email address is supplied;
• prevent repeated submissions, automated abuse, and manipulation of reaction totals; and
• improve the website and the ADK project.

This processing is based on the legitimate interests of operating, protecting, and improving the project website and responding to people who contact it. Providing feedback or an email address is optional. The information is not used for advertising, behavioural marketing, or automated decisions about visitors.

Who can access it

Only aggregate reaction totals are public. Written feedback and reply addresses are not published.

Peter may read raw feedback. AI services used under his direction may assist with project review and may therefore process relevant submitted text, but private feedback is treated as untrusted reader material rather than instructions. The website and database hosting provider processes the underlying storage and ordinary service logs. Raw feedback is not sold or shared for advertising.

Private feedback should be excluded from general external project-review packages unless its inclusion is necessary and specifically approved for that review.

Storage and retention

The random browser identifier remains in local browser storage until that storage is cleared. Agnostic.dk does not use cookies for this feature.

An active reaction remains associated with its page or current content revision until it is switched off. A reaction attached to an older section revision may be retained for bounded historical reporting, but it becomes eligible for removal after 12 months when that exact revision is no longer published. Active page reactions and reactions to current section revisions are not removed merely because they are old.

Import-authentication replay codes normally expire after one day. Other inactive request-throttle records become eligible for removal after 30 days. For feedback marked resolved or spam, browser, coarse-network, and browser-software codes become eligible for detachment after 90 days. An optional reply address becomes eligible for removal 30 days after the last recorded reply. The feedback message may remain as a private accountable project record while it is still relevant.

A time-bounded hold may postpone this cleanup when reasonably necessary to handle a privacy request, investigate abuse, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation. Retention cleanup is previewed before it is applied and leaves a non-sensitive audit receipt containing counts rather than feedback, addresses, or identifier values.

Your choices and rights

Pressing an active reaction button again removes that active reaction. You can clear the website's random identifier from your browser's local storage, although doing so does not by itself identify or delete an earlier server record.

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information, or object to its use. Because the application stores several identifiers only as one-way codes, it may not always be possible to connect an anonymous reaction to a particular person without supporting information from the same browser.

You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency if you believe personal information has been handled unlawfully.
